In the summer of 1960, Sally Jean Jensen, a 20-year-old music student at the Aspen Music Festival and School, was brutally murdered. Her body was found in a shallow grave in a remote area of the Rocky Mountains.
The murder of Sally Jean Jensen shocked the small town of Aspen and the music community. The case quickly became one of the most notorious unsolved murders in Colorado history.
In her new book, Dr. William Styler and the Murder of Aspen's Golden Girl, Nancy Pfister delves into the unsolved murder of Sally Jean Jensen. Pfister, an Aspen musician herself, has spent the past six years researching the case.
Pfister's book examines the life of Sally Jean Jensen and the events leading up to her murder. She also explores the investigation into the murder and the many suspects who have been considered over the years.
One of the most intriguing aspects of the case is the involvement of Dr. William Styler, a prominent Aspen physician who was a close friend of Sally Jean Jensen's family.
Styler was one of the last people to see Sally Jean Jensen alive. He was also the one who discovered her body. Styler was initially considered a suspect in the murder, but he was never charged.
Pfister's book takes a close look at Styler's involvement in the case and raises new questions about his role in Sally Jean Jensen's death.
Dr. William Styler and the Murder of Aspen's Golden Girl is a fascinating and well-researched look at one of Colorado's most notorious unsolved murders. Pfister's book is a must-read for anyone interested in true crime or the history of Aspen.
